Housekeeping Manager

The Housekeeping department is responsible for ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests staying at the hotel. Therefore, the primary objective of the Housekeeper as head of the department is to maintain the hotel in spotless condition at all times, ensuring compliance with quality and service standards defined by the Central Office as well as providing necessary training to his/her staff with regards to work and attitude procedures defined also by the Central Office.

• The Housekeeping Manager will be reporting directly to the Hotel Director;
• Implementation of Housekeeping department quality and service standards;
• Assignment of rooms for cleaning (entry, stay and departure);
• Carry out budgets;
• Amenities stock control;
• Laundry control;
• Inventory of Hotel equipment;
• Training of the Housekeeping staff;
• Purchase request;
• Participation in Hotel Management Meetings;
• Organize meetings with the team (Housekeeping staff);
• Cost control;
• Lost and found control;
• Check and control cleaning of the rooms and common areas;
• Maintenance control (in coordination with Front Desk dep.);
• Interview new candidates for the housekeeping staff;
• Laundry management;
• Evaluate the customer´s level of satisfaction.

What the company can expect from you:

• At least 2 years experience in Housekeeping;
• Tourism Diploma or Higher education;
• Excellent verbal and written English and Dutch skills, other languages are valuable;
• IT Skills in Excel, Word, Power Point (office);
• Availability to travel.
