Sales Coördinator Corporate & Events

The Sales Coordinator Corporate & Events is responsible for the preservation and development of the turnover (by market research and exploration) on existing and new customers in an assigned account Group/segment. He/she works within a predefined and fixed price sales plan and agreed product policy. Focus on corporate accounts with a substantial demand for accommodation (rooms and/or events). He/she manages the existing accounts, advises them and exploited business capabilities. The Sales Coordinator Corporate & Events works especially from the out of the property.

• The Sales Coördinator will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager;
• Keep track of the developments within the demand side of the market and (potential) customer groups;
• Actively search and approach clients/accounts and highlighting/presenting the possibilities and concepts to increase sales and brand awareness;
• Carry out ( by her/himself or via employee) targeted market research, mapping position and ' unique selling point ' by competitors;
• To follow developments in the private market, activities of competitors, customers’ needs;
• Developing account plans in terms of marketing forecasts, etc. and explaining and motivating plans to the direct manager;
• To propose sales opportunities on behalf of possible accounts, packages, prices, etc.;
• Select/detect potential relationships/accounts by itself and/or by employees collected information, data, etc;
• Transferring projects by translating project data into the implementing organization and possible cooperating organizations;
• Welcome potential relations/accounts in the hotel and provide site inspections;
• Agree on conditions (price, condition, etc.) within stipulated guidelines and submitting draft agreements towards the manager for approval;
• Arrange after sales, keep in touch with the client;
• To be informed of the developments at the clients/accounts, monitor an active exchange of information internally;
• Preparation of visit reports and periodic reports on periodically basis on behalf of the manager;
• Participate in departmental meetings;
• Identify opportunities and threats for the short and medium-long term and advise management on this matter;
• Represent the organization at meetings, trade shows and special events/activities of certain relationships;
• Other tasks indicated by the sales manager.

What the company can expect from you:

• MBO or HBO;
• Hotel Management School or equivalent;
• At least one year as sales executive or other relevant experience;
• Excellent verbal and written English and Dutch skills, other languages are valuable;
• IT Skills in Excel, Word, Power Point (office);
• Driving License (B);
• Availability to travel;
• Willing to work in the weekends and evenings (occassionally).
